About Us

Since 1946, A.C. Jones Trucking, Inc., initially known as Jones Brothers Trucking, has become a pillar in the transportation and crane service sector in central Illinois. Founded by Art and Louis Jones, our company began with a humble fleet: a single axle dump truck, a lime spreading truck, and a dragline mounted on army 6x6's. In the 1950s, we expanded into tandem dump trucks and commenced Critic Feed hauling across the Midwest, transforming into Jones Trucking in 1964 under Art Jones's ownership. The 1960s marked our entry into the crane service industry with the acquisition of our first conventional lift crane, complemented by dozers and backhoes for land conservation efforts.

By 1971, we had embraced hydraulic cranes, propelling us further into the construction landscape. Our evolution continued with incorporation as A.C. Jones Trucking, Inc. in 1979, under A.C. Jones, Jr.'s leadership. The mid-1980s saw coal trucking become a significant focus, with continued investment in hydraulic and rough terrain cranes through the early 1990s. Today, we provide comprehensive crane services, and rock and sand sales/delivery, through A.C. Jones Trucking and 21st Century Leasing of Illinois. Our fleet, ranging from 40 Ton to 350 Ton truck cranes, enables us to meet diverse project demands.

Our service area spans Quincy to Champaign and Peoria to Alton, ensuring safe, timely solutions for the construction and manufacturing industries. As we transition into the third generation of family management, with Jace (Arthur Charles Jones III) and Mickenzie Schaver preparing to lead, our commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction remains unwavering.
